SPARC HILLARY EXPEDITION GRANTS 2010/2011
Applications are now open for SPARC Hillary Expedition Grants 2010/2011. SPARC Hillary Expedition Grants provide funding to adventurers planning to embark on expeditions in the great outdoors. Funding of up to $100,000 is available through Hillary Expedition Grants, which are made available every two years.
The SPARC Hillary Expedition initiative aims to inspire and encourage New Zealanders to take on exciting, world-class physical recreation challenges in the great outdoors. Hillary Expedition adventurers will be role models, encouraging Kiwis to dream big, set their sights high, and embark on a lifetime of physical recreation.
The expeditions can take place anywhere in the world. They might include, but are not limited to, any one or combination of the following activities: tramping, mountaineering, rock climbing, cross-country skiing, white water and/or sea kayaking, mountain biking, and sailing.
Applications close on 15 October 2010. For more information about the initiative and for details on the application process and criteria go to:
